Our company, Hungarian Dairy Research Institute Ltd. was first founded in 1903 as the Royal Hungarian Dairy Experiment Station in the town of Mosonmagyaróvár and has since become one of Hungary’s most reputable food R&D and service institutes. Our tasks and objectives have remained the same since our establishment, which include the development of the dairy industry, milk production and quality dairy products as well as the enhancement of food quality and safety, and the strengthening of the food sector.
With its committed and competent team of professionals, the 110-year old Institute, which is owned by the State of Hungary, has been shaping its business approach and field of activities since the beginning of the 1990’s to make it a competent partner for any actor in the food sector both home and abroad. Our Institute possesses copies of the most significant national and international professional journals from as long ago as 1940–1950. With approximately 70 employees the Institute as a company works effectively thanks to its market oriented approach, faith in innovation, well-targeted research and production activities and laboratory services. Today the company’s focus has extended far beyond the area of the dairy industry.
Key areas of activity:
- dairy product and manufacturing development;
- development of functional food products;
- raw material, semi-finished and finished product testing of foodstuff, feedstuff, dietary supplements and drugs;
- representation of companies producing natural food additives and distribution of their products.
